Job Description

Do you have experience using C/C++, Net or MVC? Do you have experience using Install Shield or equivalent to create installation scripts? If so, then this Software Engineer role is for you!

This Software Engineer role is working for a company based in Southampton. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am - 5:30pm. The role is also paying a salary up to £30,000. The role is onsite only.

The company design, produce and implement computer based systems, tailored and customised to meet the needs of clients within the electricity supply industry. This includes a range of different hardware, software and panels to be used as part of their data collecting metering equipment.

The successful candidate will work alongside the Senior Engineer to design and implement features to the design specifications. The candidate will also be required to test the implementation alongside the R+D teams to ensure the correct standards and expectations are met. Processes will also need to be followed to ensure product improvements. The successful candidate will also need to use different software, including Install Shield and Legacy in order to develop and Engineer the software to the design and customer specifications.

You will need:

• Experience as a Software Engineer/Developer within a relevant industry.

• Experience with Embedded C and C++

• Experience with Install Shield or other Installation Script software

• Experience with both legacy and modern developer tools

• A degree in Computer Science or other relevant areas

• Excellent database management skills

• Excellent communication skills
