Job Description

Are you an experienced Stores Operative looking for your next position? This could be your opportunity to work for a manufacturing company in the Southampton area.

The Role:

This position will see you using your previous experience of kitting and picking BOM's and despatch orders, performing goods in, using the in-house stock system (Progress+) to log all parts and products in and out and maintain accurate stock records.

Skills and Experience:

Obviously, it goes without saying that you will have a good background working in a stores position but you will distinguish yourself from the other candidates with your role(s) for manufacturing companies in the engineering industry.

You do not have to be an IT whizz but you will need to be confident in using Microsoft Excel and in-house stock systems (ERP) which would preferably be Progress+ but others will be considered. The other remit for this role that will show you are the best candidate will be your experience and license using a forklift (Counter balance). A driving licence would also be desirable but not essential.

Salary and package:

This is a temporary ongoing contract initially, but if you prove your worth then there is a strong possibility of being taken on permanently. The pay is £8.50ph to £10ph depending on experience with the core working hours being 8:00 - 4:30 Monday to Thursday and 7:00 - 3:30 Friday.
