Support Engineer - Southampton

A background in Engineering, Quality, Operations and Sales will help you understand, isolate and resolve problems whilst supporting the customers repairs and spares requirements.
You will be supported to use your existing product knowledge to help and carry out system installation, commissioning, optimisation and training programmes. The successful candidate will be required to reach across the organisation in support of the installed base
This is a hands-on role and will require a high standard of experience in electro-mechanical system build
Your role is important, as you will be a key in the customer relationship, ensuring professional and accurate communications are carried out at all times. This will involve hosting meetings with internal teams, and or customers as required.
Using your background skills and experience, you will be able to provide technical support across customer sites in compliance with commercial agreements. You are trusted as the first line for fault diagnosis, and working with internal engineering teams to resolve customer queries. Once you have clarified the issue, you will be documenting the steps to understand root cause of the problem and propose changes to design/processes to correct and prevent future occurrence.
As you will be working hands on, the creation and up-dating of service bulletins, trouble shooting, user guide documents and process flow diagrams will be required to support customers.
As a Support Engineer, you will undertake product installation, commissioning and optimisation work at customer sites. This will be supported by the development of new customer applications and understanding the integration on your product with the customers system.
You will of course have help by liaising with engineering teams to ensure that the optimum engineering solution is deployed at site and the customer is provided with a robust and reliable system.
We are looking for an engineering all-rounder with experience of high speed machinery, electronic control systems and power electronics. Your history in customer facing roles will be called upon, and your ability epresent the company to a very high professional standard.
If you have any experience in automotive or power generation industry with solid understanding of diesel engines or generator sets then this will set you in good stead.
