Job Description

Support Worker

I am currently recruiting for experienced Support Workers to work with Children and Young People with EBD and Challenging Behaviours in a Residential Care Home in the Brighton and Hove area. Our Brighton provider focuses on the therapy and development of their Young People and wants individuals who are passionate about making a difference and improving the life chances of their Residents. If you are robust, resilient and resourceful and able to work flexibly to meet the needs of Young People then I want to hear from you!

You will be working very near Brighton City Centre and with public transport at right at your doorstep. There is also free parking on site! You will receive a competitive starting salary and many opportunities for career progression. Further to this, there is also an enhancement for sleeping in and for planned and unplanned overtime! There is also a generous annual leave entitlement that will give you a great job and home life balance. Our highly regarded client manages several children's homes and takes a positive, proactive approach in the development of their Resident Young People and Staff.

If you can build a good rapport with Young People and yet be aware of appropriate boundaries then this is the role for you. Could you be an advocate and support, encourage and enable a true sense of identity and self-worth? Inspire confidence and nurture self-esteem? If you are ready to be a role model, work hard and have fun, then I want to talk to you!

To be successful in the role you would need to have good knowledge of child safeguarding and an NVQ Level 3 or willingness to work towards one. Being a driver with a UK License also is a great tool to have. You will benefit from the support of a friendly and committed staff team and management, with comprehensive and informative inductions and training.

More importantly, you will enjoy your shifts with the Young People as you will encourage and enable them to visit new places and participate in fun activities like sport, arts and crafts, baking, dance and trips outings.

If you are ready to give back to today's Youth and go home with a smile knowing that you have made someone's day just that bit better then what are you waiting for? APPLY NOW!

All applications will be treated with the utmost confidentiality.
