An exciting opportunity has come up for a current Support Worker to join a family-owned provider based in Bexhill. Emma and her mum, Jane, own and manage a Registered Children's Care home that caters to children and young people with Emotional Behaviours Difficulties. Currently, the care home has 4 boys, aged 11-16 years of age and the home is very settled and has a fun environment. This home is rated Outstanding by Ofsted and has the most fantastic view out of the kitchen window!
As well as a competitive starting salary you will be welcomed into the team by Tracy (the Home Manager) and the rest of the team which consists of a Team Leader and six other members of staff. Your training and development are important so you will receive an in-depth induction into the role as well as be given an enhanced training package to complete. A Diploma Level 3 in Children and Young People will be offered to you after you complete your probation period, this an excellent qualification to have as this will stand you out from the crowd.
A typical work week for you will consist of working 22 ½ hours per week with the opportunity to pick more hours to help and support the home. The 22 ½ hours will consist of a full shift (9 am-11 pm with sleep in, paid at £65.40! finishing at 930am the next morning) and a late shift from 4 pm-10 pm, some weekend work will be required and its frequency will depend on the current needs of the home, however, there is flexibility to have set working day pending it meets the needs of the home. An overtime enhancement will be paid at time and half for covering sickness.
The home is very accessible by public transport and is within walking distance of Collington, Cooden Beach, ad Bexhill train station. There is free parking on-site should you chose to drive. Having a full UK driving license will be preferable as the home has a unit vehicle to take the Young People in activities outside of the home.
