Here at FPR Group we are currently recruiting for passionate support workers to join our ever-growing team and work alongside one of our fantastic clients based in Newhaven!

The service you would be attending is a 37 bedded supported accommodation project home to young adults aged 16 - 25, they offer a safe and supportive environment for temporary accommodation and access to permanent move-on accommodation!

You will be welcomed into the service with a thorough handover and will be expected to complete certain duties whilst on shift such as light admin, completing well fair checks, carrying out an hourly building petrol to ensure the safety of all service users, call check-ups, managing emails that come through and ensuring an in-depth handover is completed for each shift as well as any other tasks that arise!

We know that the typical 9-5 can be a difficult one to work around if you have other commitments such as part time work or family, which is why this service offers you a range of shift types to cater around your lifestyle! We have earlies, lates, long days and waking nights which can either take place on weekdays, weekends and over bank holidays offering you full flexibility!

Ideally you will already have previous experience working alongside either young people, those with mental health needs, forms of challenging behaviour and have general knowledge of housing for example how to manage a fire incident. You would also have experience working a waking night shift and understand the importance of certain checks that need to be carried out! You will have great people skills, a passion for care, patience, confidenence to work alone and in teams and the ability to take control of a situation and remain calm and professional.
