Due to extreme demand, I am recruiting for Support Workers to work within a Supported Residential Centre for vulnerable young people aged 16 - 25 who are at risk of homelessness located in Eastbourne.
This centre provides a safe, supportive and welcoming environment where young people who are either at risk of homelessness, suffeing from substance misuse, mental health issues or currently are homeless are equipped with the essential life skills and support required to eventually move onto independent living.
You will pick when suits you best to work as well as what type of shift you'd prefer, whether that be taking early, late, long day or wake night shifts. We will offer you a selection throughout the week and weekend to pick and choose from, providing you with amazing flexibility and the power to control your hours.
Your responsibilities will include keeping a general eye out around the centre, checking the CCTV regularly throughout your shift ensuring the building is secured and safe. You will carry out welfare checks on specific residents, actively promote the services holistic support packages available to the young people whilst always guiding them to be independent. You will assit with day to day operations, work closely with the young people and attend meeting where required. You will keep the staff log book updated, accurately detailing any occurrences that arise whilst attending to light admin tasks and additional matters delegated to you on shift.

You will need a minimum of six months experience within the care sector to be considered for this role and ideally you will have previous experience working with young people in a care setting.
