Support Worker (Newhaven Based)

Due to rising demand we are currently recruiting for experienced support workers to work within a supported accommodation project based in Newhaven.
This service provides excellent quality temporary accommodation and access to permanent move-on accommodation for males and females aged 16 - 25, the building is staffed 24 hours a day and offers a safe, supportive and friendly environment.
Whilst working here you will be required to complete tasks such as light admin, thorough shift handovers, performing well fair checks on residents and checking on specific individuals. You will be expected to maintain the staff log book by keeping it updated, ensuring all information is clear and understandable for the next member of staff. You will perform hourly building petrols which includes ensuring windows are locked, pathways are clear and overall safety is maintained around the service. There will be call checks ups to complete, you will also be expected to manage emails coming in and to take care of any other issues that may arise on shift.
The ideal individual will have previous experience working alongside young people, those with aspects of challenging behaviour and or individuals with mental heatlh. You will ideally have general knowledge regarding housing, experience working wake night shifts and knowledge of the types of checks that need to be completed. An overall willingness to work, positive outlook and level of patience and perserverance.
