Job Description

Accounts Assistant - Part Time

Are you looking to earn some extra cash after Christmas? Are you immediately available and looking for an Accounts position on a part time basis with flexible hours to work around you? We are currently looking for an Accounts Assistant for a large Manufacturing company near Fareham. This role will be until at least 2 - 3 months. You will be reporting directly into the Financial Controller and you will be responsible for assisting the existing accounts team.

The company designs and manufactures specialist filtration components and assemblies for the aerospace and defence industries and has previously received The Queen's Award for Enterprise in International Trade Award - the UK's highest accolade for business success so you really will be working for the best in the industry.

What will you be doing?

Your role will involve you getting stuck in with purchase ledger (Invoicing and Matching) as well as speaking to Creditors on a daily basis. You will carry out Accounting for Accruals & Prepayments as well as handling any additional Administration assigned by the Financial Director.

They are looking for someone who has experience within an Accounts role and good attention to detail. You must have a positive attitude as you may be asked to carry out some additional data entry/admin tasks for other members of staff. You will need to be confident on computer systems and have used Microsoft Excel.

What will you get out of it?

The company are flexible with which days you work but are looking for someone who can carry out around 20 hours per week. You will receive a flexible salary up to £11 per hour. There is free parking and an onsite gym which will be able to use.
