Job Description

Do you have experience using GIS and CAD? Are you looking for a Town Planner role with an exciting growing company? If so, this role could be for you!

This Town Planner role is for a Real Estate and Asset Management company at their Colchester branch. Due to the exciting growth of the company, they are looking to expand even more by adding to their Colchester team. The role is also offering regular office hours. The Salary is up to £40,000 based on experience.

The successful candidate will be provided with the perfect opportunity to enter the industry and develop the skills needed for a successful career as a Town Planner. The successful candidate will be using software such as GIS and AutoCAD to support the town planners and Architects in the office. The candidate will also develop planning solutions, consult stakeholders, and research planning policies. The candidate will also need to negotiate with council officials as well as other professionals such as Architects, surveyors and estimators. They will also need to draft plans, designs and access statements. Part of the role also includes attending and presenting at planning boards. It is expected that the candidate will keep up to date with legislation too.

You will need:

• A 2:1 BA Hons in a relevant course

• At least 1 year experience with town planning

• To have experience using Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and AutoCAD

• To be able to create professional reports and be comfortable presenting

• A keen eye to detail and great organisational skills

• Excellent communication skills
