TRADE COMPLIANCE MANAGER
SEGENSWORTH, HAMPSHIRE
£50,000
Hybrid/Office working
This fantastic opportunity will see you become really involved in a variety of different responsibilities ensuring compliance and on time delivery of products to customers, distributors and production facilities as well as working and communicating with other teams and departments throughout the business. We are looking for an all-rounder, somebody who is confident, diligent, a good communicator with a calm efficient approach to every task and project thrown at them. What am I responsible for?
- Ensure International Trade Compliance processes are maintained, reviewed and continually improved across all PFG sites
- Provide training, direction and advice on Import/Export Control related queries to all PFG sites including product classifications, export licensing, import permitting and customs clearing, restricted party screening, recordkeeping, Anti-bribery and self-assessments
- To manage trade compliance activities on the Segensworth site and be the local point of contact for all HMRC customs issues
- Ensure PFG sites' adherence to local and foreign laws and regulations associated with trade and report on performance
- Monitor changes to laws, regulations, and requirements with a view to ensure PFG compliance globally
- Manage group freight contracts and control the process of all PFG international trade to ensure PFG achieves the most efficient and effective movement of Goods
- Share best practice on commercial and compliance issues around the group and lead process change projects associated with other key trading issues identified by the PFG board
So what do I need?
- Strong UK and EU export controls and dual classification knowledge
- Strong knowledge of US ITAR and EAR regulations
- Strong focus on continuous improvement practice and methodology
- Proven ability to influence and challenge across all levels of business
- Ability to prepare or revise procedures, work instructions, forms, business flowcharts and prepare and review complex business documents
- Thoroughly familiar with international shipping documents such as commercial invoice, packing list, air waybill, and export license; including consignee information, INCOTERMS, harmonized tariff code and nomenclature, country of origin, customs value, export classification, and license data
- Good IT skills
- Strong communicator
