Job Description

We are working closely with a large, local company who the supply the Construction Industry and due to a growing work load we have an amazing opportunity to work for them as a Trainee Project Manager. They are ideally looking for someone who has a couple years' experience within a construction (experience supervising teams would be a massive advantage) and would love an opportunity to get into Project Management then this is your chance!!

The role would be based from Havant however you would be expected to visit sites as projects require, predominantly UK based with a high percentage of work in the London area once trained. Because of this, you will need a valid UK driving licence.

They predominantly work on construction projects for the commercial and industrial sector rather than domestic so the values of their projects range from £50k to £1million.

The salary for this role is around £23000 to £25000 per annum plus a company car after training (also a laptop and phone), there is free parking, easy motorway access, 20 days holiday per year (rising with service), excellent training, opportunities to progress, and a contributory pension scheme.

The company is easily commutable from Portsmouth, Southampton, Waterlooville, Chichester, Havant, Fareham, and surrounding areas.


2+ years within the Construction industry

Qualification in business or construction (e.g. BTEC or similar)

HSE aware with construction

Some exposure to working on projects medium to large projects

Must possess excellent communication skills - experience dealing with clients

Good negotiating skills, able to build strong relationships, comfortable organising people and driving tasks through to completion

Good computer skills, MS Office and Excel

Able to understand building specifications

A valid UK driving licence is essential (company car is provided after 6 months, they are accessible by public transport in the interim)

Self-motivated and works well in a pressurised environment

Ambitious with a desire to develop your career quickly
