This job will see you travelling throughout the UK working at various sites, where you will learn to install and commission both terrestrial and mobile telecommunications equipment such including cabinets.
This position is working for a friendly and well-established Engineering company located just outside of Havant who due to continued growth are looking for somebody to join the team on a long term basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for you to be fully taught on many aspects of Telecommunication equipment and processes. You will gain a strong understanding of Telecommunications and specific tools that will allow you to progress your career and enhance your knowledge. You will be taught by an experienced Telecoms Engineer who will be there every step of the way mentoring you and furthering your skills.
This position will see you travelling throughout the UK and staying away. The company will cover your accommodation and evening meals paid for as well as an allowance for overnight stays.
The key criteria for this position is somebody with an outstanding work ethic who is happy to invest and learn. As there is travel involved, dedication is required as some days can be longer. While previous experience in Telecoms is not essential as this will all be taught, a consistent work history is desired.
Holding a full driving license is desirable as will allow you to share the driving with your mentor in the company vehicle. If you do not have a license this could be a great incentive to learn!
This position offers a standard 40 hour week but extra hours and the occasional weekend maybe required depending on the install. With a starting hourly rate of circa £8ph while training but as you can imagine when your skills and experience progress so could your pay.
You will initially have 28 days per year holiday (20 days + BH) but after 3 months this will increase to 33 days (25 days + BH).
