Job Description
About the Role
Our client are looking for proactive and motivated Warehouse Operatives to join their team. In this role, you will ensure the accurate and efficient processing of customer orders, maintain timely handling of finished products, and manage raw material operations to support production needs. You'll be at the heart of ensuring their logistics function runs smoothly from start to finish every day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Picking, packing and scanning of processed goods.
- Operate forklift and pump trucks to transport packaging, raw materials, crates, pallets, and general supplies. A forklift license is not essential for this role, and training can be provided.
- Liaise with different departments to ensure good communication and a smooth operation.
- Prepare and manage customer pick lists, delivery notes, and end-of-day reports.
- Conduct weekly packaging stock counts and assist with administrative duties for other production teams when required.
- Lead and execute the cleaning schedule for the packhouse and yard, ensuring compliance with Food Hygiene and HACCP standards.
- Ensure that all daily activities comply with Health and Safety regulations and environmental objectives.
Experience:
- Experience: Previous experience in a logistics or warehousing environment is preferred.
- Skills: Ability to operate forklifts and pumptrucks (training provided where necessary). Good IT skills for maintaining stock records and preparing reports.
- Attributes: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Physical Requirements: This role involves physical tasks such as moving materials, loading/unloading, and maintaining site cleanliness.
