We have an exciting opportunities for Warehouse Operator's to join a well-established distribution company in Southampton. A leading company in their sector that distributes across the world for cosmetic products.

Within the role you will maintain the day-to-day operation of Raw Materials across both sites within Southampton, ensuring the receiving, storage maintenance and issue of Inventory is in accordance with all relevant standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs).

You will respond to and solve problems as necessary to ensure optimum operational workflow is maintained.

Your role

  • Correctly label Materials for factory distribution
  • Provide a secure point of delivery for courier drop-offs, Distribute parcels deliveries of raw materials.
  • Receive good in and goods out, off-loading and loading tankers into bulk storage across sites.
  • Pick and issue Materials for the user businesses to the agreed quality standards, verifying all items are present and correct.
  • Drive company vehicles on and between sites and off-site storage facilities to make all necessary deliveries and collections fulfilling the business requirements for materials flow.
  • Operate inhouse computer-based systems with use of print out for stores picking.
  • Respond to problems in relation to the Warehouse functions, communicating any issues to Line Management to ensure minimum disruption, maximum service levels.
  • Comply with Health & Safety at all times

Skills required

We would ideally like you to have the following:

Full Clean Driving License is essential.

  • Good working knowledge of warehouse procedures and experience in similar role
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal is essential.
  • Competent user and experience of driving 3.5T Vehicles, Fork-lift Trucks (if you hold/held a forklift licence in the past)
  • Inventory management - stock count / stock rotation is desirable

You will be working on a 4 on 4 off shift basis on a 12 hour shift basis. Your working hours are 7am to 7pm. Pay will be £26,183 including shift uplift for the role.
