Young People's Residential Support Worker
I am looking for experienced Support Workers to work with Young People with EBD and challenging behaviours in a lovely and settled Children's home in Horley.
Our client is well established, supportive and friendly with amazing teams and are looking for individuals who are passionate about making a difference and improving the life for their Young People. If you are robust, resilient and resourceful and able to work flexibly to meet the needs of Young People then I want to hear from you!
The right candidate will need to have a natural affinity and empathy with Young People while ensuring they are safe. Being a good role model is key for this roe as the Young People will need advocacy, support, and encouragement in order to find a true sense of identity and self-worth.

To be successful in the role you would need to have good knowledge of child safeguarding along with being aware of what issues Young People in Residential care face today. You will have a full driver's licence and an NVQ Level three or willingness to work towards one. You would be working in the beautiful surroundings of Horley with our highly regarded client in a well-managed children's home with an organisation that takes a positive, proactive approach in the development of their Staff and Young People.
You would benefit from the support of friendly and committed staff teams, with comprehensive and informative inductions and training. You will encourage and enable the Young People to visit new places and participate in fun activities like gardening, arts and crafts, baking, dancing, outings and exercise.
