Job Description

Principal Safety & Risk Consultant

We are looking Principal Safety and Risk Engineers and Consultants to join a client of ours based in Surrey. This individual needs to hold strong consultancy-based experience across Safety & Risk projects within the: Renewables, Oil & Gas, Chemical, Clean Energy, Transportation, Power, and similar industries.

You will be working closely with clients as a strong point of contact, using your previous risk and safety experience to support clients with their projects. Ideally, coming from a background completing, assisting, and chairing workshops such as: HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, Bowtie Studies and relatable workshops. This individual needs to have a technical mindset to be able to perform risk assessments when required, support with consultancy on risk assessments, act as a key account manager for the client, ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the correct quality standards.

What do I need?

• 10+ years' experience across Risk and Safety consultancy.
• Degree held within chemical or process engineering or similar degrees such as on Process Safety, Loss Prevention etc…
• Previous experience within workshops such as: HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, bowtie studies etc…
• Previous software experience with risk software such as: PHAST, Safeti, FRED and more.
• A technical mindset to solve issues and bring new ideas to the table.
• The ability to work on your own when needed but to support junior members and the team when required.
