Job Description

Are you interested in a rewarding opportunity to work with your local council? We're currently seeking Grounds Maintenance Person in the Havant Area for ongoing work in the warmer months. If you enjoy working outdoors and want to be part of a dedicated team, this role could be perfect for you.

Ideal candidates will have experience operating a range of equipment including strimmers, ride-on mowers, pedestrian mowers, hedge cutters, and weeding machines. A strong work ethic and the ability to work in all weather conditions are essential. While a full driving licence is preferred, it is not essential.

Joining our team means you'll receive a full induction, training, personal protective equipment (PPE), and a uniform. This is an ongoing role with opportunities for the right person to secure a permanent position.

You'll enjoy competitive pay starting at £11.44 per hour with overtime available. Our hours are excellent, beginning at 7:30 am and finishing at 4:00 pm daily, totaling 37.5 hours per week. We offer weekly pay and up to 20 days of holiday leave, plus 8 days of bank holidays.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Grass cutting and strimming
• Tending to flower beds and planting new ones
• Pruning, planting, and weeding
• Hedge cutting
• Leaf clearing and blowing
