We are currently seeking a skilled Machine Operator for a permanent position (12 month contract) in a modern, well-lit factory located in New Milton, just a stone's throw away from Lymington, Christchurch, and only 12 miles east of Bournemouth's city centre.

The hourly rate for this position is £18.09, this works out as £36,768 a year - there is also possibility to earn more on top of this via overtime.

This role has opened up due to the company's continued growth, driven by an expansive and promising project that's now become a reality.

As a Machine Operator, your primary responsibility will be operating semi-automated welding machines to ensure the precise assembly of products with secure seals. These products are crucial components in the food/beverage and medical/pharmaceutical industries and involve the use of basic hand tools, power tools, and machinery operation. Training will be provided, but we do require candidates to have prior experience in machine operation, preferably with a background in machine setup or operation.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Effective operation of machinery to ensure product conformity with company quality standards.
  • Adherence to all company standards and Health and Safety protocols.
  • Consistently following documented process controls.
  • Efficient assembly of products.
  • Understandiong of engineering drawings and ability to work to them.
  • Comfortable using hand tools and sheet metal machinery
  • Adopting a positive and methodical approach to all manufacturing tasks within the designated area.

You will enjoy regular working hours from 3:00pm to 00.00 am, Monday through Thursday, Friday is 11.00am to 4.00pm- 39hours a week. You will be training on a day shift for approximately 1 month and then be transferred to the shift. You also be paid for the shift uplift while training on days.
