Job Description

We are recruiting for a Multi skilled Maintenance Engineer to work double days OR lates only at a recently established growing manufacturer in Chichester. Including shift this role will pay circa £45,000 a year with great benefits including a combined pension contribution of 13%, overtime available at x1.5 and x2 and fundamentally a great team to work with!

This role will provide effective maintenance on production lines, minimising down time, always working towards maximum efficiency. You would have the opportunity to become involved with project work and drive production forwards. You'll look into root causes of downtime, get involved with planning PPM and always working safely and in compliance.

This is pivotal role tasked with ensuring the seamless operation of plant machinery and essential services, setting the standard for safety, efficiency, and innovation. By collaborating with both production and engineering teams, you'll optimise processes, address breakdowns through detailed root cause analysis, and lead planned preventive maintenance initiatives. Armed with an understanding of automation, mechatronics, and a strong understanding of electrical systems and PLCs, this engineer will play a crucial role in driving the company towards its ambitious production targets. The commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence makes the Multi-Skilled Engineer an invaluable asset in the industry.

So what do I need?

  • Demonstrable success within a maintenance centric position
  • The ideal candidate will have some PLC experience (preferably Siemens)
  • Ideally having an engineering certification, preferably electrically orientated
  • Good experience in reactive as well as PPM roles and appreciation for H&S.
  • Great communication skills
  • Genuinely wanting to continuously improve
