As a Service Engineer you will assess technical situations on location, providing service, maintenance and repairs of lifeboats, davits, winches and cranes on board vessels and offshore installations in accordance with company standards. You will be checking previous service reports, equipment manuals, verifying that parts are available and other requirements are met.

This role will require flexibility, to travel and work away and offshore at times, typically across Scotland yet also covering the north of England. You will receive fantastic overtime additions, working away allowances, company van, company mobile phone and company credit card for business expenses.

Your potential earnings can be up to £70,000pa dependant on your experience and overtime worked.

Sounds great, what do I need?

• HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• Broad technical background in the area of mechanics, electrical, hydraulic (drive technology) and control engineering (PLCs and frequency controllers).
• At least 5 years' relevant work experience
• Experience in the maritime/offshore industry is preferred
• Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams
• Ability to read and understand hydraulic diagrams
• Excellent communication skills
